Mr. Arshad Usmani, with an impressive 30+ year’s career in real estate, is renowned for his expertise in land and project acquisition, project implementation, and execution. Having lent his skills to prestigious names such as Tata Housing Ltd, Kalpatru Homes Ltd, Lokhandwala Construction Industries, and BBTC Ltd (Wadia Group), Arshad’s visionary approach has resulted in over 30 + varied projects across India.
Arshad’s legacy includes pioneering the concept of Co-op. Housing Society Re-Development in Mumbai way back in 2001. Two of his large residential projects got AAA+ rating among Residential Projects in India, certified by CIDC-CQRA, with a combined area of approximately 2 million square feet. His visionary contributions are monumental, to say the least.
He has over 30 years work experience across Private Equity, Chemicals, Industrials and Real Estate sectors in top management positions. He is founder of Anantham Epic Homes Llp (AEHL) together with Arshad Usmani.
Prior to AEHL, Sanjay was Managing Director, Samara Capital, a private equity fund with a AUM of about USD 600 m across two funds. Samara has made seventeen investments across both funds and continues to invest from Fund II. He was on Board of Directors of several portfolio companies of Samara.
Prior to joining Samara, he was with BBTC Ltd, a Wadia Group Company with corporate responsibilities for Business Development, Real Estate and M&A. He was instrumental in acquisition and integration of auto component companies, setting up of Real Estate Business for BBTCL, formulation of key RE projects for BBTCL and other Wadia Group companies.
He has managed Industrial gases, Catalysts and Speciality Chemical Businesses in his prior stints with Inox Air Products and Parekh Platinum He commenced his career with ICI in manufacturing and techno-commercial roles in ICI’s Fertilisers and Catalysts Businesses.
Sanjay is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Kanpur with a PGDBF from ICFAI.
